Brad Pitt's Pets

Brad Pitt had a rescue dog named Blanco, which he found as a stray on the streets of Mendoza, Argentina while filming Seven Years in Tibet there in 1996. Despite his busy filming schedule, Pitt fostered 13 stray dogs he rounded up from the streets. He fed them, ensured they got veterinarian care, and found them forever homes. He was said to have taken three of them to stay at his luxury hotel with their own private room. Pitt then flew the trio to live with him back in Los Angeles. The only photo and name known of the three lucky pups is Blanco.

Brad Pitt’s English Bulldog Jacques is also pretty famous, appearing on talk shows and in magazines with Pitt and also Angelina Jolie. He’s even had Johnny Depp as a babysitter before. Pitt had this to say about loving bulldogs, “I’m a firm believer Bulldog owners are kindred spirits. Mostly because we can and will have very serious conversations about snorts, farts, shit consistency, crusty eyes, crusty noses, puke, and various forms of gas with other Bulldog owners.”

Brad Pitt has four dogs, two of which are pugs. Not much is known about Pitt’s two pugs, but they have been spotted playing with his bulldog Jacques. One of the pugs is named Blackout Superstar. #PittsPugs

In 2009, Pitt and Jolie were shopping near their home in France with their sons Maddox and Pax, they came across a pet store. The boys really wanted to take some pets home, so they got them some gerbils and goldfish.

Angelina Jolie has a rescued rottweiler named Dusty. Dusty and her pitbull mix were both picked out by her kids.

Brad Pitt has always loved dogs and had many during the 1990s and 2000s. Their names include Deacon, Maggie, Earl, Purty, Saudi, Todd Potter, C.C. Rider, Blanco, and more. Maggie was a black labrador and Deacon was a red coon hound (Pictured here). In the film Seven (1995) with Morgan Freeman, the dogs of Brad Pitt’s character are his actual dogs.

In the 1990s, Brad Pitt used to breed chameleons. He told Vanity Fair in 1995 that he had over 40 chameleons living in wooden Chinese-lantern-shaped structures in his backyard.

Brandy, Brad Pitt’s fictional dog in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019) is a star in her own right. She’s an American Pitbull, but is actually played by three dogs named Sayuri, Cerberus, and Siren. Sayuri was three years old at the time of filming and did most of the acting. Cerberus and Siren worked as her stunt doubles and stand-ins. Brandy won the “Palm Dog” Award at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, which is a non-official, but annual Cannes Film Festival award given out to the best canine performer of the year. Fun Fact: Three of Tilda Swinton’s four Springer Spaniels shared the “Palm Dog” Award in 2021.
