Jason Bateman had a white French Bulldog named Goose that he still uses as his Twitter profile pic (seen here). Bateman hasn’t publicly mentioned Goose’s passing, but as he had the Frenchie since the late 2000s, Goose has most likely crossed the Rainbow Bridge by now.

Jason Bateman currently has a rescue dog named Gary, who he got in early 2023. Bateman hasn’t publicly shared any photos or details on Gary. Bateman briefly mentioned Gary on the April 23, 2023 episode of his Smartless podcast. Joaquin Phoenix is the guest and after mentioning Phoenix’s wife, Rooney Mara, Batemen comments that she helped him adopt, saying “We’ve got a brand new dog, [Rooney] found us our dog, our dog, Gary, he’s a real cutie.” While Bateman and Jude Law were filming their Netflix series Black Rabbit in New York City in 2024, the production went under the alias/working title of “Gary the Dog.”

Jason Bateman is an American actor, director, and producer best known for his leading role as Michael Bluth in “Arrested Development”, which also starred Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat, Tony Hale, David Cross, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, and Ron Howard. He has appeared in several successful films and television series throughout his career, including the sitcom “The Hogan Family,” as well as the films “Juno,” “Horrible Bosses,” and “The Gift.”

Bateman has worked with a wide range of artists, actors, and celebrities throughout his career. He appeared alongside Jennifer Aniston and Charlie Day in the comedy film “Horrible Bosses,” and shared the screen with Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Goldblum in “The Change-Up.” He also worked with Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy in the hit comedy “Identity Thief,” and directed and co-starred with Rachel McAdams in the action-comedy “Game Night.”

In addition to his successful acting career, Bateman has also had numerous accomplishments behind the camera. He has directed episodes of several television series, including “Ozark,” which he also executive produced. For his work on the series, Bateman has received several accolades, including a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series.
