Geena Davis is an American actor, activist, producer, and former model. She is the recipient of an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award, in addition to nominations for a British Academy Film Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. In 2019, she was awarded the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award for the work she has done over the decades to fight gender bias on and off screen in Hollywood.

Davis first caught the attention of the public with her role in “The Fly,” where she starred alongside Jeff Goldblum. From there, her career took off with a mix of comedies and dramas. Among her most notable films are “Beetlejuice,” “Thelma & Louise,” where she starred opposite Susan Sarandon, and “A League of Their Own,” which tells the story of an all-women’s baseball league during World War II.
