On Sunday, July 2023, Billie Eilish shared the sad news that her and her brother Finneas‘ beloved family dog Pepper, had passed away. Eilish shared a gallery of photos of her and her best furry friend growing up together, saying “pepper. my life long best friend. i will see you again someday sweet girl.”
Eilish and Pepper grew up together, with the pup joining her family when she was only 7 years old. Eilish ended her caption with, “you made it 15 years you f**king beast. :’) i love you. rest easy mama, i’ll miss you forever. this is a really hard day”.
Her brother Finneas posted the photo above to his Instagram story with the message “Sweet Pepper. Our dog has, at the ripe old age of 15, transcended her mortal form. A good, good dog who gave our family so much love and was loved by us all in equal measure.”
Many of her celebrity friends commented with their condolences. Demi Lovato said, “I’m so sorry,” Gracie Abrams said, “I love you so much bil I’m so so sorry,” and Katy Perry commented with a black heart emoji.
