Paula Abdul
Paula Abdul is an American singer, dancer, and choreographer, known primarily for her chart-topping music career and her role as a judge on the television show “American Idol.”
Paula Abdul began her career as a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Lakers, which led to her work as a choreographer for music videos, including Janet Jackson’s “Nasty” and “Control.” She gained significant success with her debut album “Forever Your Girl” (1988), which included hit singles like “Straight Up,” “Cold Hearted,” and “Opposites Attract.” The album topped the Billboard 200 chart and was certified multi-platinum. Her second album, “Spellbound” (1991), also achieved commercial success with singles such as “Rush Rush” and “The Promise of a New Day.” Abdul served as a judge on “American Idol” for eight seasons.
Throughout her career, Abdul collaborated with several notable artists and individuals. She choreographed music videos for Janet Jackson, worked with Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson on “American Idol,” choreographed for Michael Jackson‘s “The Way You Make Me Feel” and “Black or White,” and collaborated with Kylie Minogue on the video for “Spinning Around.” Abdul also worked with George Michael on his music video for “Monkey,” choreographed dance segments for Ellen DeGeneres on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” and collaborated with Luther Vandross for his music video “The Best Things in Life Are Free.”
