Thirsty Koala Asks Cyclist for a Drink during Australia’s Heat Wave

Cyclists and koala’s band together during Australia’s heat wave.

The little marsupials are dehydrated but they know who their ride or die homies are. Koalas typically get moisture from gum leaves but the heat has been making that nearly impossible. They’ve taken to waving cyclists down on the road for sips from their water bottles.

Australian researchers is currently attempting to install fountains for the Koalas. The fountains will be placed in trees and in typical Australian slang are called “Blinky Drinkers”. Is there any word Aussie’s won’t add a ‘y’ to?
