Beloved by humans and dogs around the world, Dolly Parton has brought both together for her first “Pet Gala,” a two-hour variety show featuring musical performances and a canine fashion show.
Parton was inspired to throw this even after she launched her Doggy Parton dog accessories brand in 2022. The Pet Gala also auctioned off Doggy Parton clothing and original dog costumes from the event to raise funds for the Nashville Humane Association.
Many human celebrities and musical performers attended or shared video clips showing their support. Best In Show star hilarious actress Jane Lynch cohosted with Dolly. Kelly Osbourne and Rachel Smith served as runway correspondents. Celebrity dog moms Drew Barrymore and Kristen Bell were a few who recorded segments but sadly couldn’t attend in person.
Human musical guests included Lainey Wilson and Carly Pearce, who both performed duets with Dolly. (Wilson has a Frenchie named Maggie Mae)
Carly Pearce also posted an Instagram of her two pups, Jonny and June, preparing for the Pink Carpet.
Chris Janson performed a cover of “Hound Dog,” with his actual hound dog, Willie.
Now onto the A-List pet influencers who attended. Dolly was starstruck when meeting the one-and-only Doug the Pug. We last featured Doug when he teamed up with the Crocodile Hunter’s family for The Pugadile Hunter.
Furry fashion model Tika the Iggy is no stranger to strutting down red or pink carpets #cowgirlera. We last covered Tika when she linked up with Jered Leto for a makeup tutorial.
And it was the first time these two pet influencer icons have met!
Carson Kressley stepped out with canine Elvis impersonator Billy the Kid (Dolly’s famous “god-dog”).
Pooch of NYC kept it cool as usual.
He also posted a video to hype up the event.
The Doggy Parton Instagram posted a gallery of the furry stars, including Adventures with Moxie and Noodles the Pooch.
And here are some canine models wearing several of Dolly Parton’s most iconic outfits.
