Dafne Keen
Dafne Keen is a British-Spanish actress best known for her role as X-23 in Logan. She is the daughter of British actor Will Keen and Spanish actress, theater director, and writer María Fernández Ache. Keen was exposed to acting from an early age and began her career in the television series The Refugees (2014-2015), where she starred alongside her father.
Keen’s breakout role came in 2017 when she portrayed Laura, also known as X-23, in the critically acclaimed film Logan, part of the X-Men franchise. Her performance as a young mutant with powers similar to Wolverine’s received widespread praise and numerous award nominations. She won the Empire Award for Best Female Newcomer and an MTV Movie Award for Best Duo with Hugh Jackman. She reprised this role in Deadpool & Wolverine with Ryan Reynolds.
Following her success in Logan, Keen took on the lead role of Lyra Belacqua in the BBC and HBO series His Dark Materials (2019-2022). Her portrayal of Lyra, a brave and curious girl in a fantastical world, further solidified her reputation as a talented young actress. In 2024, Keen joined the cast of the Disney+ series The Acolyte, set in the Star Wars universe.
