Pawstruck: Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, and Emma Stone Meet Messi, Canine Actor From ‘Anatomy of a Fall’

Messi, a Border Collie and canine actor, was thrust into the spotlight last spring. This was thanks to his role as “Snoop” in the French thriller, Anatomy of a Fall. The movie won the Palme d’Or (the top prize at the Cannes Film Festival), and Messi won the Palm Dog Award, the unofficial Cannes Film Festival award given to the best canine actors of the year.

Now, with Anatomy of a Fall nominated for five Oscars, Messi jet-setted from his home in France to Hollywood for the Oscars luncheon. Seen below with his human and trainer, Laura Martin Contini, Messi enjoyed a day sniffing with the stars. For many, meeting human celebrities at this event would make their day. But for a pack of celebs in attendance, meeting Messi was clearly the highlight.

Bradley Cooper went all in with head scritches and a chin rub.

Ryan Gosling had to stop and chat Messi up. And in case you missed it: Meet the pets of the Barbie movie cast!

And his Barbie costar, America Ferrera, had to get down and meet him too.

Emma Stone gushed over Messi’s award-winning performance.

Celebrity interviewer and YouTube star Amelia Dimoldenberg said what we’re all thinking: Make an Oscars category for pets!

FIlmaker Phil Lord (known for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street reboot, and more) said we SHOULD meet our (fur) heroes.

And getting that much attention from Hollywood A-listers clearly tuckered him out.
