Despite his tough guy persona, Dwayne Johnson is very open about his soft spot for dogs… And he let it show in an Instagram tribute to his French Bulldog, Hobbs, who just passed away at 10 years old.

Early this morning, The Rock posted a carousel of memories with Hobbs, who was named after his Fast franchise character, Luke Hobbs. Johnson wrote a heartfelt tribute in the post about how much love Hobbs had to give. And his fans had plenty of love to send his way as well – With the post getting over 2.2 million likes and almost 30k comments in only half a day.
Handsome Hobbs joined his dad for a GQ photoshoot back in November.
When Johnson adopted Hobbs in 2015, he also adopted his brother, a white Frenchie named Brutus. After saving both tiny pups from drowning soon after taking them home, tragedy struck – Brutus had eaten some poisonous mushroom while playing outside and sadly didn’t recover.
Johnson and his family still have one fur baby at home – A rescued mutt named Turbo who they adopted in July 2022.
And in May 2023, Johnson revealed he got a pet Brahma bull named Soul Bully.
