Joel Dommett is a British comedian and television presenter, prominently recognized for his pivotal role as a contestant on the ITV show ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’

Initially gaining traction in the entertainment industry through comedy, Dommett found his niche in television. His breakout role came in 2010 when he was cast in E4’s hit teen drama series ‘Skins,’ portraying the character D.C. Sweeney. After this, his comedic charm landed him a place on ITV’s ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ in 2016, where he finished in second place and won hearts across the nation. He also hosted the spin-off show ‘I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp’ from 2017 to 2019 and made a notable appearance on ‘Comedy Central’s Roast Battle.’ Dommett’s ease in front of the camera led him to present the inaugural series of ‘The Masked Singer UK’ on ITV in 2020, adding to his versatile portfolio.

In terms of collaborations, Dommett’s career is studded with numerous associations with other celebrities. Notably, he shared screen space with Dakota Blue Richards and Kaya Scodelario on ‘Skins.’ His stint on ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ allowed him to engage with Scarlett Moffatt, who won the season, and ‘Emmerdale’ actor Adam Thomas. Dommett also worked with comedian Russell Howard on the series ‘Russell Howard’s Good News.’

Dommett’s crowning achievement to date has been his second-place finish on ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ which significantly boosted his public profile. Despite being a comedian, his empathetic and amiable persona won the affection of viewers nationwide. He was also nominated for a BAFTA TV Award in 2020 as a part of ‘The Masked Singer UK’ team in the ‘Reality and Constructed Factual’ category.
