Krypto has made many appearances over the years, with this version inspired by Superman director James Gunn’s rescue dog Ozu. It’s still unknown if a canine actor portrays Krypto in any scenes or if Krypto is purely CGI.

David Corenswet is an American actor, notable for lead roles in the Netflix series The Politician (2019–2020) and Hollywood (2020), created by Ryan Murphy. His film roles include Look Both Ways and Pearl, and he appears in the HBO miniseries We Own This City (2022). In addition to acting, Corenswet has also served as an executive producer and screenwriter.

Following his 2016 graduation from Juilliard, Corenswet made his television debut with a guest appearance in House of Cards (2018). He starred in the political thriller Affairs of State (2018) alongside Thora Birch and Adrian Grenier. As River Barkley in The Politician and Jack Castello in Hollywood, Corenswet received attention for portraying complex characters in series that explore political ambitions and post-World War II Hollywood, respectively. His role in We Own This City marked a shift towards more serious, fact-based storytelling, portraying police corruption in Baltimore.

Corenswet has worked with industry figures such as Thora Birch, Adrian Grenier, Ben Platt, Patti LuPone, Darren Criss, Jon Bernthal, Josh Charles, and Mia Goth.
