Emmy Raver-Lampman is an American actress and singer. She began her career working in musical theater, and has performed in various Broadway and national touring productions such as Hair, Jekyll & Hyde, Wicked, and Hamilton. She has played Allison Hargreeves in the Netflix series The Umbrella Academy since 2019.

Raver-Lampman’s journey began in musical theatre, most notably as a member of the original ensemble for the Broadway blockbuster “Hamilton,” where she also served as an understudy for the roles of Angelica Schuyler, Eliza Hamilton, and Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds. However, it was her portrayal of Allison Hargreeves in “The Umbrella Academy” that catapulted her into mainstream success. The show, an adaptation of the comic book series by Gerard Way, became a cultural phenomenon, providing Emmy the perfect platform to display her versatility as an actress.

Raver-Lampman has shared creative spaces with an impressive array of artists and celebrities. On the Broadway stage, she worked alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda, Leslie Odom Jr., and Phillipa Soo during her time in “Hamilton.” On the screen, her chemistry with co-stars Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, and Robert Sheehan has been widely appreciated. In 2020, she also guest-starred in an episode of “Central Park,” an animated musical television series, joining a stellar cast that includes Josh Gad, Kristen Bell, and Tituss Burgess. Her collaborations further extend into the music industry where she’s worked with Todrick Hall and Alex Lacamoire. Beyond entertainment, she’s teamed up with influential figures for philanthropic efforts, such as partnering with Daveed Diggs for charity events.

When it comes to awards and distinctions, Emmy’s contributions have not gone unnoticed. For her role in “The Umbrella Academy,” she was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress in Streaming Presentation in 2020.
