Darren Criss is an American actor, musician, and songwriter. He first gained recognition for his portrayal of Blaine Anderson on the hit television show “Glee.” The character was originally intended to be a minor role, but Darren’s incredible talent and charisma quickly earned him a promotion to a series regular.
Darren’s work on “Glee” was just the beginning of his impressive career. In 2011, he starred in the Broadway revival of “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” earning rave reviews for his performance as J. Pierrepont Finch. He also made his film debut in the 2012 comedy “Girl Most Likely” and has since appeared in several other movies and TV shows, including “American Crime Story,” “The Assassination of Gianni Versace,” and “Hollywood.”
One of the milestones in Darren’s career came in 2018 when he starred in the limited series “American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace.” He portrayed Andrew Cunanan, the serial killer responsible for the murder of fashion designer Gianni Versace. Darren’s performance was widely praised and earned him an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie.
Throughout his career, Darren has collaborated with numerous celebrities and influential people. He has worked with fellow “Glee” cast members Lea Michele, Jayma Mays, Cory Monteith, and Naya Rivera, as well as musicians like Kesha and Katy Perry.
