Son Chae-young, professionally known as Chaeyoung, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and artist recognized for her vital contribution to the global success of the K-pop group Twice.
Chaeyoung’s career took off after she joined Twice, a nine-member K-pop group formed by JYP Entertainment through the reality TV competition, Sixteen, in 2015. Her contributions to the group’s discography, both as a vocalist and a lyricist, have been instrumental in its success. Notably, her lyric-writing talent shone in tracks like “Sweet Summer Day” and “Eye Eye Eyes,” where her distinctive style added depth to the group’s musical variety.
