Demi Moore adopted a tiny long-haired Teacup Chihuahua named Pilaf in November 2020. Pilaf’s full name is Pilaf the Little Mouse Moore and her nicknames are “Little Shadow,” “Little Mouse,” and “La Petite Souris” (The Little Mouse in French). Unlike her doggy roommates, Pilaf is known for jet-setting the world with her mom to various celebrity-studded events. Moore hasn’t revealed why she named her pup after a delicious Middle Eastern rice dish. Pilaf only weighs 1.2 pounds and possibly has dwarfism. Pilaf is also Moore’s service dog, which lets them travel together easily.

In April 2023, Moore started an online campaign to have Pilaf considered for the Guinness World Record for Shortest Dog. In May 2024, Pilaf won the PalmDogMantarian Award at The Palm Dog Awards (the doggy equivalent to the Cannes Film Festival). Then in August 2024, Pilaf was featured in Vogue’s “Dogue” interview series and posted a behind-the-scenes video. In September 2024, Pilaf took over The Graham Norton Show. Then in November 2024, they threw a joint birthday party.
