Lupita Nyong’O and Her Rescue Kitty Take on ‘A Quiet Place’ Cat TikTok Challenge

The human star of A Quiet Place: Day One, Lupita Nyong’O has finally taken up the “A Quiet Place” Cat TikTok Challenge – Which fans of the movie have been highly anticipating.

If you haven’t seen any of the A Quiet Place movies, the plot revolves around an apocalyptic alien invasion where the aliens are blind, but have like really really good hearing. So being extremely quiet is vital to surviving, with Nyong’O’s feline costar, Schnitzel (named Frodo in the movie) knocked out of the park.

Then fans on TikTok started testing if their cat would stay quiet if they were holding them while running around trying to escape murderous alien monsters.

Then celebrity cat mom Lupita Nyong’O finally posted her attempt on TikTok, racking up almost three million views in three days. The video features Yoyo, her very first cat who she adopted last October. (which followed Nyong’O getting “cat therapy” to get over her fear of cats before filming A Quiet Place: Day One. And judging by the amount of her Yoyo posts, her fear has completely transformed into love. For undeniable proof, she even posted a made-up song she sung to Yoyo.

And the happy couple even appeared together in Glamour magazine!
