Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy and his popular rescue pitty, Miss Peaches, have just posted an urgent plea to her TikTok account on Oct 6th – In the hopes of helping shelter dogs in Miami as Hurricane Milton approaches the south Florida coast. Specifically for a shelter in Medley in Miami-Dade county. Portnoy said, “It’s outside, they’re expecting flooding, and need foster parents just Tuesday to Saturday for the doggies.”

Portnoy and every brave human involved is hoping anyone in the South Florida area who can take in a shelter dog for a week until the storm passes would be very much appreciated. you can find out more info from the Instagram post below or contact [email protected].

Within 24 hours, so many kind humans got in touch it overwhelmed their email servers. But as this situation is still developing, if you can help or know someone who might be able to foster, please still get in touch with them!

This follows plenty of dog advocacy and fundraising Portnoy and Miss Peaches have dedicated themselves to, including raising over $500,000 for dog charities in only six weeks.
