Ed Sheeran (who is also a proud cat parent) just posted a photo dump on Instagram, captioned “Dumpington #3” and buried near the end of it was a rare treasure: A new photo of Taylor Swift’s kitty Meredith Grey! The scene depicts a smiling Sheeran sneaking in for a snuggle with Swift’s first Scottish Fold.
Treated with this early Christmas present, Swifties swarmed the comments section to rejoice.
This isn’t the first time fans have celebrated confirmation that Swift’s eldest kitty, now 13 years old, is still alive and well. After mounting pressure from fans in 2021, Swift posted the Tweet below:

Appearing in the video with Tay Tay is Benjamin Button, her Ragdoll cat she got in 2019 and named after Brad Pitt’s character in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. While not as well-known as his sisters Meredith Grey (named after Ellen Pomeo’s character on Grey’s Anatomy) and Olivia Benson (named after Mariska Hargitay’s character on Law & Order: SVU), Benj recently jumped into the spotlight by sharing the cover with Swift for Time Magazine’s “Person of the Year” issue. Olivia also made headlines recently, after Marika Hargitay named her cat after Swift’s song “Karma.”
