Tasha Smith
Tasha Smith is an American actress and director known for her roles in Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married?” and its sequel, as well as the television series “Empire” and “For Better or Worse.”
In “Why Did I Get Married?” she played Angela Williams, a role she reprised in “Why Did I Get Married Too?” On television, Smith portrayed Carol Holloway in “Empire” and starred in “For Better or Worse” as Angela Williams. She has also appeared in “Power” and “Boston Common.”
Throughout her career, Smith has collaborated with Janet Jackson, Jill Scott, and Michael Jai White in “Why Did I Get Married?” and “Why Did I Get Married Too?” In “Empire,” she worked with Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson. In “Power,” she collaborated with Omari Hardwick. Additionally, she appeared in “Jumping the Broom” with Paula Patton and Angela Bassett. Smith also worked with Gabrielle Union in “Daddy’s Little Girls.”
