The Ricky Gervais TV series After Life features a black German Shepherd named Brandy, played by a canine actor named Antilly the Wonder Hound (or Anti for short). Gervais personally picked out Antilly for the role. Her first role was in The Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. Antilly’s parents were also notable canine actors, with both starring as attack dogs in Bane’s gang in The Dark Knight Rises. Anti started her career in 2012 and has since retired. She’s also a philanthropist and helped fundraiser for the Florence nightingale Hospice that her mom works for. In March 2024, Anti and Gervais reunited to promote his vodka brand.

His work in co-creating the British television sitcom The Office (2001–2003) became one of the most successful productions in the world. Following The Office UK, he also created Extras (2005–2007), and An Idiot Abroad (2010–2012). He also created, wrote and starred in Derek (2012–2014), and After Life (2019–2022). His awards include seven BAFTA Awards, five British Comedy Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and the Rose d’Or twice (2006 and 2019). He’s also known for his collaborations with Stephen Merchant, who co-wrote and co-directed The Office, Extras, and An Idiot Abroad.
