Olivia Rodrigo
Olivia Isabel Rodrigo is an American singer-songwriter and actress who was born February 20, 2003. She gained widespread popularity for her portrayal as as Paige Olvera on the Disney Channel series Bizaardvark and Nini Salazar-Roberts on the Disney+ mockumentary series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
Olivia Rodrigo Musical Career
She signed with Interscope and Geffen Records in 2020 and released her debut single, “Drivers License”, in 2021, which quickly topped various charts worldwide and gave Rodrigo her breakthrough. It was followed by successful singles “Deja Vu” and “Good 4 U”, leading up to the release of her debut studio album, Sour, on May 21, 2021, to critical acclaim.
She created some award winning collaborations with other artists, including Taylor Swift, who gave her a handwritten note and a ring after the release of her hit single “Drivers License.” Olivia also collaborated with songwriter and producer Dan Nigro for her debut album “SOUR.” Moreover, she has performed with Kid Cudi on “Saturday Night Live” and co-starred with Joshua Bassett in the Disney+ series “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.”
Acting Career
When she was just a little girl, Olivia Rodrigo started her career in acting in a commercial for Old Navy. In the year 2015 and 2016 respectively she played Grace Thomas in the film ‘An American Girl: Grace Stirs Up Success’ which earned herself two awards at child roles category OT winner & CTRS Award For Top Performer Under Ten Years Of Age. It wasn’t until later on that same year, she played Paige Olvera on Disney Channel series Bizaardvark and gained international fame.
Olivia dated Bizaardvark co-star Ethan Wacker after they worked together on the Disney Channel show. They met when this series started in 2016 but things apparently took a romantic turn in 2018 which people realized after they went on vacation together.
She worked alongside Joshua Bassett, Matt Cornett and Sofia Wylie on the mockumentary series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
