She starred as Kitty O’Neill in the political drama Boss (2011–2012) and portrayed Hildy Mulligan in the TNT crime series Murder in the First (2014–2016). Her film credits include roles in Hollywoodland (2006), Scary Movie 2 (2001), and Torso: The Evelyn Dick Story (2002), for which she received a Gemini Award nomination.
In Boss, Robertson acted opposite Kelsey Grammer in a recurring political storyline across two seasons. In Murder in the First, she shared lead billing with Taye Diggs, portraying a homicide detective in all three seasons. She appeared with Adrien Brody and Diane Lane in Hollywoodland, contributing to the ensemble cast exploring the death of actor George Reeves.
