John David Washington
John David Washington is an American actor and former pro football player born on July 28, 1994. He’s the son of actors Pauletta and Denzel Washington. His first major acting role was as part of the starring cast of the HBO series Ballers (2015-2019) with Dwayne Johnson. His first leading film role was in Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman (2018) which earned him Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations. He went on to star in Tenet (2020) with Robert Pattinson and Elizabeth Debickie, Malcolm & Marie (2021) with Zendaya, and Amsterdam (2022) with Christian Bale and Margot Robbie.
Before pursuing a career in acting, he played football professionally. This included four years as a running back for the UFL’s Sacramento Mountain Lions and getting signed as an undrafted free agent with the St. Louis Rams.
