Tijs Michiel Verwest, better known as Tiesto, is a Dutch EDM producer and DJ. Considered by many as one of the greatest EDM DJs of all time, he is also one of the richest with an estimated net worth of $150 million. His love for music started at a young age for Tiesto and was DJing at school parties when he was only 14 years old.

At 16, he started DJing at clubs in the Netherlands for the next decade. In 1994, he started producing his own EDM tracks and founded his label Black Hole Recording in 1997. In the late 90s and early 2000s saw him rise to superstar DJ status, collaborating with Ferry Corsten and Armin van Buuren. Along with being a leader in the trance and house scene, his popularity grew into the mainstream. With a career spanning 25 years, he has consistently toured and released music and still holds the title as one of the world’s top DJs.
