Joe Locke
Joe Locke is a rising Manx actor. One of Locke’s breakout roles came in 2022 when he landed the lead role of Charlie Spring in the Netflix teen series, Heartstopper. The show, based on the webcomic and graphic novel of the same name by Alice Oseman, centers around the relationship between two boys at an English grammar school. His performance was so impressive that he received a nomination for the Children’s and Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Performance.
Locke also played the role of Jake in the acclaimed indie film “The Road Home.” His portrayal of a young man struggling to find his place in the world amidst family turmoil garnered critical acclaim and attention from audiences.
Locke has collaborated with a number of influential figures in the entertainment industry, including the legendary director Martin Scorsese, who directed him in the film “Silence.” In addition, Locke has worked with esteemed actors such as Meryl Streep, who he co-starred with in the film “August: Osage County,” and Daniel Day-Lewis, who he worked alongside in the aforementioned “Silence.” He has also shared the screen with the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, and Tom Hanks.
