Irina Shayk, a Russian model and television personality who received international recognition when she appeared as the first ever person from her country to be featured on an issue cover for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2011. She has been ranked among some of today’s hottest models by Models.com – reaching #2 behind Gigi Hadid (#1).
One of her most remarkable partnerships has been with Riccardo Tisci, the artistic director for Burberry. Their creative synergy was palpable in Burberry’s Spring 2020 campaign, which saw Shayk mastering Tisci’s vision for a modern, unapologetic Burberry woman. A creative alliance with Bradley Cooper resulted in a delightful moment in fashion when they graced the Met Gala red carpet in 2018, an event which was a veritable feast for photographers and fashion enthusiasts alike. Shayk has also graced the lens of the legendary fashion photographer Steven Meisel, notably for the Vogue Italia June 2016 issue. Her collaboration with renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath saw her become the face of the “Mothership VI: Midnight Sun” eyeshadow palette. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, famed fashion photographers, have repeatedly chosen Shayk as their muse, with their powerful depiction of her in Vogue Germany’s August 2019 issue standing out as an exceptional piece of work. Finally, her association with Donatella Versace, the doyenne of Italian fashion, has been a long-standing one, highlighted by Shayk’s spectacular appearance in the Atelier Versace Fall 2019 show.
