Bobby Flay's Pets

Does Bobby Flay Have Any Pets?

Bobby Flay is a outspoken cat fanatic who has had cats his whole life, starting at around 5 years old. After the loss of Nacho, his famed Maine Coon, Bobby Flay's current pets include his two cats named Stella and Canelo, along with his dog Allspice, who he shares with his partner Christina Pérez,

Nacho

Breed: Maine Coon | Adopted Oct 2014

Bobby Flay had an orange Maine Coon cat named Nacho, who sadly passed away in October 2023 at the age of nine. Originally from New Jersey and adopted at 16 weeks, Nacho has a personality that’s as assertive, sassy, and food-centric online as it is in real life. He’s always by Flay’s side, especially in the kitchen (and sometimes on his shoulder.) He is a loving older sibling to another Maine Coon in the household, Stella. This large cat breed is known as “Gentle Giants,” which is lovely, with the only downsides being the extra large pet carrier needed to travel with him, plus having 20 pounds perched on his shoulder. Over the years, Nacho’s celeb status became comparable to his human. As proof of his fame and talent, he had almost 300,000 Instagram followers and launched his own gourmet cat food brand, Made by Nacho.

Stella

Breed: Maine Coon

Stella Flay is Bobby Flay’s white and brindle Maine Coon cat, who is generally more private than her Insta-famous brother Nacho. As the brand Made by Nacho continues to expand, Stella’s involvement is also on the rise, akin to one of the younger Kardashian/Jenner sisters poised for her own spotlight.

Allspice Flay Pérez

Breed: Pomeranian | Adopted Mar 2023

Christina Pérez, who was romantically involved with celebrity chef Bobby Flay, became the owner of a Pomeranian named Allspice Flay Pérez, a gift from Flay in celebration of her 42nd birthday. The dog’s unique name, Allspice, was both inspired by Flay and selected by him, reflecting his influence and involvement. Announcing the arrival of the petite canine, who weighed just a couple of pounds at a tender age of a few months, Pérez took to social media, describing Allspice as a “charmer” and warmly welcoming him to the family.

Made by Nacho

Adopted Apr 2021

Celebrity chef Bobby Flay, motivated by his Instagram-famous Maine Coon cat Nacho, declined traditional endorsement opportunities to create his unique cat food brand, “Made by Nacho.” Prioritizing quality and nutrition, Flay crafted a product centered on proteins and hydration, using responsibly sourced ingredients like cage-free chicken and sustainably caught seafood to meet the specific dietary needs of cats. The brand diverges from dog food companies promoting “human-grade” ingredients by focusing on the particular, meat-centric needs of felines. Bone broth is a staple in the recipes, contributing both hydration and added flavor and protein. Alongside the main courses, single-ingredient treats like freeze-dried Ahi Tuna and duck liver are also featured. With Made by Nacho, Flay aims to elevate feline diets to a culinary art form, representing a significant departure from standard pet foods.

Canelo

Breed: Maine Coon | Adopted Oct 2023

Bobby Flay has an apricot-coated Maine Coon named Canelo, that he got in October 2023. Canelo is Spanish for “cinnamon.” In July 2024, Flay proudly posted a video to celebrate Canelo’s first birthday.

Pumpkin

Breed: Ginger | Adopted 1969

Bobby Flay’s first of many cats was a big ginger cat named Pumpkin, who he got at five years old. Flay said he specifically wanted a ginger cat to match his hair. Ginger lives to 15 years old.

Coco

Breed: Siamese
