Anthony Joshua is a British professional boxer. He is a two-time former unified world heavyweight champion, having held the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO titles from December 2019 to September 2021, and previously between 2016 and June 2019. At regional level, he held the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles from 2015 to 2016.

Entering the world of professional boxing in 2013, Anthony Joshua quickly established his dominance. By 2016, he was the IBF heavyweight champion. He went on to acquire the WBA, IBO, and WBO titles, becoming the unified heavyweight champion. The showdowns with Wladimir Klitschko in 2017 and Andy Ruiz Jr. in 2019 were testament to his skill, dedication, and resilience, with the former being hailed as one of the greatest heavyweight bouts in recent memory.

As of September 2021, Joshua is ranked as the world’s second-best active heavyweight by BoxRec, third by Transnational Boxing Rankings Board and The Ring, and fourth by ESPN, as well as the sixth-best active boxer, pound for pound, by BoxRec. He has been ranked by BoxRec as among the world’s top 10 heavyweights since 2014, and was ranked at No. 1 at the conclusion of 2016 and 2017. Joshua’s knockout-to-win percentage stands at 91.67%, with an overall knockout percentage of 63.6% in world heavyweight title fights.

Throughout his career, Joshua’s collaborations have been pivotal. From early guidance by coach Rob McCracken, who also trained the British Olympic team, to notable promotional partnerships with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing, the synergy is evident. His ties with fellow boxers like Tyson Fury, Dillian Whyte, and Kubrat Pulev have sparked intense rivalries and discussions, further elevating the sport’s profile. Outside the ring, Joshua’s brand collaborations include those with Under Armour, Hugo Boss, and Beats by Dre. High-profile friendships with celebrities like Drake, Stormzy, Prince Harry, and Idris Elba have also added dimensions to his public persona.
