A Quiet Place: Day One is set to hit theaters in June. It’s the prequel to the 2018 movie A Quiet Place, which starred John Krasinski and Emily Blunt. The Day One prequel stars Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, Djimon Hounsou, Eliane Umuhire, and most importantly… Schnitzel the Cat!
The press tour for A Quiet Place: Day One has kicked off, and Schnitzel is already grabbing headlines across celebrity news sites and stealing hearts on social media. Lupita mentions this is Schnitzel’s first press tour, but it’s unknown is the kitty has previous acting experience.
When hitting the red carpet to promote the upcoming apocalyptic thriller, Lupita skipped the purse or clutch for a much furrier fashion accessory. And Schnitzel also dressed up for the occasion with a polka dot bandana and bowtie to match her fur coat. Oh, and Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn was also there, surprising fans with his new buzzcut.
From the trailer, it appears Schnitzel plays Lupita’s pet cat. Lupita plays the role of Sam and Schnitzel plays the role of Frodo. Lupita was previously scared of cats but overcame her fear and adopted a shelter kitty back in October.
