They dug into Birdie’s likes and dislikes, goals, her celebrity pet crush, and more. The biggest news from the interview was Garner revealed that Birdie is a therapy dog and just got a promotion to work at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles! Birdie will soon celebrate her ninth birthday, with Garner saying, “So she’s excited. She wants to have her first time at Children’s Hospital L.A. before she turns nine. She’s a very good dog, a very good girl.” Besides her admirable career goals, Garner also shared Birdie’s bucket list: “Birdie would like to sit at a Parisian bistro. While she’s there, she wants to swim in the Olympics. She loves to swim,” and “Birdie wants to skydive. Everybody should once and she thought before she turns nine is a good time.” Garner also shared, “Oh, she wants to eat an entire string of cheese. The whole thing.” And she mentioned Birdie wants to go on a date with her big crush: Joe Biden’s dog, Major Biden. Birdie didn’t comment on the fact that Joe Biden’s German Shepherds, Major and Commander, have both stepped down as First Dogs due to multiple biting incidents.

Garner also mentioned her Instagram series, “Books with Birdie,” saying, “Birdie is a huge early literature, just kind of a literacy advocate. So it only makes sense that she would have this series ‘Books with Birdie.'”

And lets hope Garner posts updates from Birdie’s new job at Children’s Hospital L.A. ASAP!
