Wayne Static was an American musician best known as the lead vocalist, guitarist, and primary songwriter for the industrial metal band Static-X. He achieved significant recognition in the metal music scene, with the band’s debut album “Wisconsin Death Trip” going platinum.

Static formed Static-X in 1994, releasing “Wisconsin Death Trip” in 1999, which included hits like “Push It” and “I’m with Stupid.” The band released several more albums, including “Machine” in 2001, “Shadow Zone” in 2003, “Start a War” in 2005, and “Cannibal” in 2007. Static’s solo album “Pighammer” was released in 2011, blending industrial and metal genres. Static-X’s music featured a unique combination of industrial metal and alternative metal elements, and their energetic live performances gained them a dedicated fan base. Static also contributed to soundtracks such as “Queen of the Damned.”

Wayne Static collaborated with several notable musicians. He worked with Tony Campos in Static-X, forming the core of the band’s lineup. He collaborated with Jonathan Davis of Korn on “Not Meant for Me” for the “Queen of the Damned” soundtrack. Static contributed to the track “Cannibal” with Koichi Fukuda. He worked with Al Jourgensen of Ministry on “Keys to the City.” Static collaborated with Dave Navarro on “Burning Inside.” He worked with John 5 on various projects, including live performances and recordings. Static collaborated with Burton C. Bell of Fear Factory on “Otsegolectric.” He also worked with Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins on the album “Shadow Zone.”
