Nikki Blonsky
Nikki Blonsky is an American actress and singer who garnered international attention with her role as Tracy Turnblad in the 2007 musical film “Hairspray.”
Following her breakout performance in “Hairspray,” Blonsky continued to build a diverse body of work. She ventured into television, landing roles in series like “Huge,” a drama revolving around a weight-loss camp for teens, and “Smash,” a musical drama series that follows the creation of a Broadway musical. In film, she starred in indie projects like “The Last Movie Star,” where she played a nursing home attendant. Her career, while concentrated in acting, also flirted with music, such as her single “While You Were Sleeping,” released in 2011.
Blonsky’s artistic journey is punctuated by collaborations with a variety of talented individuals across the entertainment industry. She worked alongside John Travolta and Michelle Pfeiffer in “Hairspray.” In “The Last Movie Star,” she starred opposite Burt Reynolds.
