Matt Dillon
Matt Dillon is an American actor and film director known for his roles in “Crash,” “There’s Something About Mary,” and “Drugstore Cowboy.”
Dillon’s career began with his film debut in “Over the Edge” (1979), followed by significant roles in “My Bodyguard” (1980) and “The Outsiders” (1983). He gained critical acclaim for his performance in “Drugstore Cowboy” (1989), which earned him an Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead. Dillon’s role in “Crash” (2004) earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He also appeared in “There’s Something About Mary” (1998), “Wild Things” (1998), and “Factotum” (2005). As a director, Dillon helmed the film “City of Ghosts” (2002).
Throughout his career, Dillon has collaborated with several notable actors. In “Crash,” he worked alongside Don Cheadle and Thandiwe Newton. “There’s Something About Mary” featured his collaboration with Cameron Diaz and Ben Stiller.
