Maria Dizzia is an American actress recognized for her work in theater, film, and television. She received a Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play in 2010 for her role in “In the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play).”

In film, Dizzia portrayed Katie in “Martha Marcy May Marlene” (2011) and appeared as Allison McColl in “Captain Phillips” (2013). On television, she had a recurring role as Polly Harper in “Orange Is the New Black” from 2013 to 2019. She also played Mrs. Down in “13 Reasons Why” (2017). Her theater work includes playing Eurydice in Sarah Ruhl’s play “Eurydice” at the Second Stage Theatre in 2007.
