Laraine Newman
Laraine Newman is an American actress and comedian best known for being an original cast member of Saturday Night Live (SNL) from 1975 to 1980. Newman started her career as a founding member of The Groundlings, a Los Angeles comedy troupe, which led to her being cast on SNL. During her five seasons on the show. Outside of SNL, she appeared in films such as Coneheads (1993) and Problem Child 2 (1991). Newman has also made significant contributions as a voice actor in animated series, including The Fairly OddParents and Bob’s Burgers.
Newman collaborated with Chevy Chase and Gilda Radner during her time on SNL. She appeared with Dan Aykroyd in Coneheads and worked alongside John Ritter in Problem Child 2. In the field of voice acting, she worked with H. Jon Benjamin on Bob’s Burgers and with Tara Strong on The Fairly OddParents. Newman also collaborated with Jane Curtin throughout her time on SNL.
