Kim Zimmer
Kim Zimmer is an American actress renowned for her extensive work in daytime television. She is best known for portraying Reva Shayne on the soap opera “Guiding Light,” a role she held from 1983 to 1990 and again from 1995 until the show’s conclusion in 2009. Her performance earned her four Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 1985, 1987, 1990, and 2006. [1][2]
Zimmer’s career began with stage work and included early television roles such as Bonnie Harmon on “One Life to Live” in 1978. She replaced Kathleen Turner as Nola Dancy Aldrich on “The Doctors” from 1979 to 1982. In 1981, she appeared in the film “Body Heat” alongside William Hurt and Kathleen Turner. From 1992 to 1993, she played Jodie DeWitt Walker on “Santa Barbara,” collaborating with actors like A Martinez and Marcy Walker. Zimmer also guest-starred in series such as “MacGyver,” “Babylon 5,” and “Seinfeld.” In theater, she starred in productions like “Curtains” with Robert Newman and “Gypsy” at the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera.
