Joseph “Joe” Lo Truglio (born December 2, 1970) is an American actor, comedian, voice actor, and writer. He’s well-known for his role as Charles Boyle on the Fox sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013-present) with co-stars Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Stephanie Beatriz and, Chelsea Peretti. Lo Truglio also gained recognition for his performances in the television sketch comedy series The State (1993-1995) and the comedy series Reno 911! (2005–2009). He was also one a part of the comedy troupe which created, wrote and was also called The State.
Lo Truglio’s had roles in films such as Wet Hot American Summer (2001), Superbad (20017) alongside Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Bill Hader and Seth Rogen, Paul, Role Models (2008) with Paul Rudd, and Wanderlust (2012) with Jennifer Aniston.
He married Beth Dover in 2014 and the couple have one son, Eli.
