Debra Messing is an American actress known for her role as Grace Adler on the NBC sitcom Will & Grace (1998–2006, 2017–2020), which earned her a Primetime Emmy Award. She starred as Julia Houston in the musical drama Smash (2012–2013) and played Laura Diamond in The Mysteries of Laura (2014–2016). Her film credits include Along Came Polly (2004), The Wedding Date (2005), and Nothing Like the Holidays (2008). She has also performed on stage, starring in the Broadway revival of Outside Mullingar (2014).

Messing’s television career includes co-starring with Eric McCormack on Will & Grace for over a decade. In Smash, she worked alongside Anjelica Huston and Katharine McPhee, portraying a lyricist in a fictional Broadway production. The Mysteries of Laura paired her with Josh Lucas in a crime procedural drama. In film, she starred opposite Ben Stiller in Along Came Polly, Dermot Mulroney in The Wedding Date, and Alfred Molina in Nothing Like the Holidays. On Broadway, she collaborated with Brian F. O’Byrne in Outside Mullingar.
