Clark Gregg is an American actor, writer, and director. One of Gregg’s breakout roles was as Agent Phil Coulson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a character he played in several movies, including Iron Man, Thor, and The Avengers. Coulson was a fan favorite, and Gregg’s performance helped to solidify the character’s place in the MCU. He also reprised the role for the television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which ran from 2013 to 2020.

Gregg’s acting career has been diverse, and he has appeared in many other notable roles. He played Richard in the acclaimed comedy-drama series Sports Night, which aired from 1998 to 2000. He also had a recurring role on The West Wing and appeared in several films, including In Good Company and The To Do List.

Gregg made directorial debut with the film Choke, which he also adapted from the Chuck Palahniuk novel of the same name.
