Rob Lowe
Robert Hepler Lowe is an American actor. His first notable role was when he was 19 years old in the TV movie Thursday’s Child (1983), which earned him a Golden Globe nomination for best supporting actor in a TV series or film. His breakout role was part of the ensemble cast of upcoming actors in The Outsiders (1983), which included Patrick Swayze, Tom Cruise, Emilio Estevez and Matt Dillon.
While appearing in many Hollywood films, he’s best known for two TV roles. He played Sam Seaborn on the TV series The West Wing for four seasons, which earned him several award nominations. Most recently he’s known for his role on Parks and Recreation, starring alongside Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt and Adam Scott. Lowe, his sons and brother Chad have supported and promoted dog rescue centers and dog adoption events.
