Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is a Danish actor and screenwriter. He is Best known for his portrayal of Jaime Lannister in HBO’s Game of Thrones. After graduating from the Danish National School of Theater in 1993, he began his career acting on stage. His first feature film role came the next year in Nightwatch, which made him a recognized actor in Denmark. He went on to star in and also write films in Scandinavia and around Europe throughout the years. His first Hollywood role came in 2001 with Ridley Scott’s Black Hawk Down. Scott then casted him again in 2005 for Kingdom of Heaven.
This led up to his most iconic role as Jaime Lannister in Game of Thrones in 2011, with its 7th season starting in mid-2017. This marks him being one of the highest paid TV actors at $1.1 million per episode, with his leading costars Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington and Peter Dinklage earning the same.
