Drew Barrymore
Drew Barrymore is an American actress, producer, and director best known for her work in both film and television. She gained fame as a child actress with her breakout role in Steven Spielberg’s “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” (1982) and went on to star in a number of successful films. She’s most recently known for hosting The Drew Barrymore Show, which premiered in 2020.
Her notable films include three with Adam Sandler titled “The Wedding Singer” (1998), “Never Been Kissed” (1999), and “50 First Dates” (2004). Other iconic films starring Barrymore include “Charlie’s Angels” and its sequel, where she starred alongside Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu. She also starred in the horror-comedy series “Santa Clarita Diet” which ran for three seasons from 2017 until 2019, alongside Timothy Olyphant, Liv Hewson, and Skyler Gisondo.
Aside from her acting work, Drew Barrymore has also made significant contributions as a producer and director. She founded her own production company, Flower Films, which has produced a number of successful films, including “Charlie’s Angels” (2000) and “Donnie Darko” (2001). She has also directed a handful of feature films, including “Whip It” (2009) and “The Stand-In” (2020).
In addition to her work in the entertainment industry, Drew Barrymore is also a strong advocate for animal welfare. She has been involved with a number of organizations that promote animal rights, and has also been vocal about her own experiences with adopting and rescuing pets. In 2018, she released a book titled “Find It In Everything,” which featured her own photographs of heart-shaped objects, with a portion of the proceeds going to the ASPCA. She also hosts a talk show, “The Drew Barrymore Show,” which often features segments highlighting animal rescue efforts.
