Foxy
After the tragic loss of Ms. Hud, McConaughey revealed Foxy on Oprah Winfrey’s show in February 2006. This red heeler is a breed of Australian cattle dog, which are descendants of the dingo. Foxy has appeared many times in the tabloids, thanks to his human often being photographed running shirtless on the beach.
BJ (Beef Jerky)
B.J. was McConaughey’s next rescue dog after Foxy, with initials that stand for “Beef Jerky.” B.J. is the white dog in the middle of this photo. He shared a crazy story about B.J. on The Graham Norton Show that involves BJ, a giant ram and throwing his baby down a cliff to escape. Check out the video for the full story.
Bigi (Cheesy)
Camila Alves has a rescue mutt named Bigi, who she also calls “Cheesy”.
Ms. Hud
Ms. Hud was a lab/chow mix that McConaughey picked up from a pound in Arizona in 1993. They were very close and traveled everywhere together. Sadly in 2005, Ms. Hud was diagnosed with cancer and had to be put to sleep.
White Rescue Dog
Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves adopted a white four-month-old rescue dog in January 2021.

Black Rescue Puppy
And just two days after adopting a white pup, Camila Alves revealed they adopted a black puppy!
If you thought…what was I thinking with a 4 month old puppy…well how about with another one that’s 2 months old!! Yep, got work cut out for me in the next months! 3 kids, 2 older dogs , 2 pups, 1 cat and my mother in law again, THANK YOU @humanesociety for helping this little guy find his home!! I mean… come on…found on the streets and with this little face he had to come home!

Rescue Cats
Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves have two rescue cats. And the ginger tabby and black kitty both look very happy to be roommates in their furever home!
Bobby
Like with her husband, Camila Alves has always loved dogs. She’s seen here with her first dog, Bobby (who happens to look a lot like her recent adoption).
I was a bit of a tomboy growing up with a lot in my mind always! I am not much of a tomboy now but I still have a lot in my mind…always!! My first dog here was named Bobby. He wouldn’t stop stealing our food he was very naughty! (I thought it was funny) My dad gave him away… so I think that’s part of why I want every animal I see!

Camila Alves
Camila Alves is a Brazilian-American model and designer, best known for her successful career in fashion and her role as the co-founder of the lifestyle brand Yummy Spoonfuls.
She visited her aunt when she was 15 and decided to not return home to Brazil. She worked as a cleaner and waitress for several years while she learnt English. At 19, she moved to New York to follow her dream of being a fashion model. Her mother is also a designer, who she helped design a line of handbags called Muxo. She worked as a TV personality as well, hosting the third season of the Bravo reality TV show Shear Genius and co-hosts the Food Network’s Kids BBQ Championship. In 2016, she launched a website called Women of Today, covering a range of lifestyle topics.
Her collaborations have been equally fascinating, involving interaction and work with various influential individuals. She worked with Agatha Luiz de la Prada in fashion, partnered with Target to market Yummy Spoonfuls, and frequently appeared on television with hosts like Rachael Ray, Oprah Winfrey, and Tyra Banks. In addition, her relationship with husband Matthew McConaughey has allowed her to support philanthropic causes like the just keep livin Foundation, working with fellow supporters like Drew Brees, Kenny Chesney, and Mack Brown.
Camila Alves has also been honored for her entrepreneurial spirit and her impact on the lifestyle and fashion industry.She received recognition for her work as a food entrepreneur when Yummy Spoonfuls, a brand she co-founded with Agatha Achindu, found success in providing organic and accessible baby food.
