“Good morning everyone, and welcome back to yet another round of ‘No Bones,’ the game where we find out if my 13-year-old pug woke up with bones, as a result, we find out what kind of day we’re going to have.” says Jonathan Graziano as his daily introduction of Noodle, his 13-year-old pug. And close to 2 million followers on TikTok (@jongraz) wait to find out each morning as of Oct 18, which is a massive just from his already large following of around 500k just four days ago! You can also join his 50k followers on Instagram @showmenoodz.
So a “Bones Day” is for getting out and seizing the day and “No Bones” means you can just take it easy. This is decided each morning with the “bones forecast, where Noodle’s human holds him up to see if he has bones or not – meaning if he stays standing, he has bones – If he flops back down in his bed, no bones. Part furry fortune teller, part mental health advocate, followers look to Noodle not just as a predictor of their day, but as a sign that they should find that spark of motivation or just take it easy on themselves for the day. His human Jonathan confirmed that while “Bones Days” are good, “No Bones Days” aren’t necessarily bad, they just mean you can choose to also flop back in your bed (proverbial or literal).
Jonathan adopted Noodle back in 2016 after his owner was no longer able to look after him. He said Noodle has had “No Bones Days” since then, with him trying to get the senior pug up in the morning, with him often melting back into his bed. Now the spirit animal to many on TikTok, his lazy but positive vibe has seen the hashtag #nobones rack up 168 million views and #bonesday with 41 million views.
We’re sad to update this article with the news that Noodle passed away in Dec 2022 at the age of 14 🙁
