Meet Peanut Butter the Shiba Inu – The First Dog to Set a Speedrun Gaming Record

There are plenty of pups out their worthy of praise for setting records in various athletic and trick competitions, such as Celebrity Pets friends Whiskey Toller and the Joy Crew. But their is only one dog that’s set Guiness World Record for speed… No not for running, but for being the first dog to set a Speedrun Gaming Rercord! The incredible canine is a Shiba Inu named Peanut Butter.

Peanut Butter set the record back in July 2023, but made another attempt at the Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) competition in early 2024. This made him the first non-human and canine to compete at the biggest speedrunning event. But like any star athlete, he can thank a coach for helping him every step of the way. In this case, his coach is his human JSR, who is also a competitive videogame speedrunner.

Peanut Butter most recently competed at the AGDQ summer event ;last year – And raised over $30,000 for charity so!

You can watch his record setting speedrun below, as well as the full video of his speedrun from last summer.
