BTS member “V”, aka Kim Taehyung, started his mandatory service in the South Korean military in December 2023. Since then, he hasn’t posted anything personal to social media – Mainly fashion and throwback photos. But on an apparent break from military service, V made two personal posts via his Instagram Stories.
The first story was him and his military friends striking a post with the translated caption reading, “Current situation.”
Then his other story features two shots of his beloved Pomeranian, Yeontan, with the translated caption, “His current state.”
BTS fans who have all been missing V (and Yeontan) went wild over their first peek at his life in the military, as well as the incredibly cute shot of his pup.

Fans wondered or assumed that V got a chance to visit his home and see his pup, but it’s unconfirmed. Judging by the photo of Yeontan he shares, it looks like it could be a screenshot, possibly from him Facetiming with his furbaby. And if you missed it back in September, Yeontan became the first K-Pop pet to have an official FanCam performance.
