With the 2023 Met Gala’s theme being a tribute to the late Karl Lagerfeld, many celebrities’ costumes expected to be inspired by Lagerfeld and his countless iconic designs. But for any celebrity pet lovers, the big question was if his prized kitty Choupette would be in attendance. Choupette confirmed she received an invite, along with an appearance in Vogue’s tribute to Lagerfeld. Choupette was then photographed on a date in Paris with Kim Kardashian last week, sparking rumors that we could see them walk the red carpet together.
Choupette purrferred to stay cozy at home and skipped the long flight from Paris to New York. But to make up for it, Doja Cat, Jared Leto, and Lil Nas X decided to pay tribute to Choupette!

Jared Leto is known for his wild fashion choices on a weekday and has fans expecting a crazy outfit for each year’s Met Gala. He didn’t disappoint this year by going full furry with a literal Choupette costume.

Doja Cat, of course, had to repurrsent. She rocked an elegantly eye-catching design by Oscar de la Renta. The hooded dress’s look was complete with cat ears and feline’d makeup. We’re sure if Choupette was in attendance, she’d be chasing Doja Cat’s featured train all around the red carpet.
Lil Nas X as Choupette the Cat
Lil Nas X’s outfit (or lack there of) was a more abstract tribute to Choupette. Being covered in crystals, it’s hard to tell, but his face mask is cat-like, complete with whiskers.
