Lala, Alan Cumming’s rescue dog, finally made her late-night debut with an appearance on The Tonight Show with this week. But for any fans of The Traitors reality show, they’ve also been fans of Lala, who cohosts alongside her dad Alan.
Alan stepped out with Lala and a proud smile to the delight of Jimmy Fallon and the audience. Lala sat politely wearing Alan’s tie, while her dad admitted Lala gets recognized on the street due to her hosting gig.
Lala started hosting in season 2, but really hit her stride in season 3, which premiered in January – With her fashion earning her as much praise as her charisma as a canine host.
Lala’s road to becoming a reality TV diva was a long one – She was a pregnant street dog in Costa Rica in 2016, where she was rescued by a vet. The vet got her puppies adopted, but didn’t find Lala a home. A woman kindly took Lala to New York City as a foster on behalf of Social Tees Animal Rescue… Then after a week, Alan fell in love and adopted her!
