The technical name for his condition is Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which cats, dogs, and humans can develop at birth. While not in any pain, cats with “CH” lack coordination when walking, have generally jerky movements, and can have tremors.

Willy’s kind human, Mandy Morris, has given lots of her time volunteering for The Rescue Project in Kansas City. She brought 3-month-old Willy home in November 2020, after seeing that he was having no luck getting adopted. She knew that cats with CH usually end up getting euthanized as people are afraid to commit to a special needs cat. Plus black cats are unfairly less likely to get adopted.
